- How is the estimate calculated?
- Annual cost = eligible employees × share using the benefit each year × average spend per user (capped at the lifetime maximum), plus any per-employee-per-month admin fee × employees × 12. Per employee per month is the annual cost divided by employees and 12 months.
- Where should my numbers come from?
- Use your broker, carrier, or claims data wherever possible. Utilization and spend vary widely by workforce age, location, plan design, and whether the benefit covers IVF, egg freezing, medication, and storage.
- Why does plan design matter so much?
- The lifetime maximum caps spend per user, and what is covered (for example medication, storage, or only diagnostics) changes average spend. A navigation-only design costs far less than funded treatment coverage.
